Legend of the Dragon King Taoist (道士)
The boss class. Pets hold the camp. Poison shreds the named target. Heals keep the keep.
Taoist is the summoner-support class in Legend of the Dragon King’s triangle. The same Steam review that boosted Mage’s early speed called Taoist first on bosses. That split is the tier list in one line. If you logged in to fill the 免费会员 bar and to live on world-boss timers, this is the kit.

What Taoist is for
- VIP farming — 220+ 野外BOSS ticks. Pets tank, you loot.
- Named targets on continents (梦魇女皇, 暗祖 rows, 阴冥界三层).
- Keep support on castle siege: heals, poison on the clump, pet on the stair.
- Solo play that is not Mage’s corpse parade.
What Taoist is not for: being the first character on 黑暗神域. Mage still wins the race. Taoist wins the camp that is already unlocked.
First-hour Taoist
Getting Started town loop is identical. Difference: you care about pet uptime more than about walking. If the tutorial gives a summon, that button is your true-skill candidate. Recycle as obsessively as Mage; pets die and leave you exposed when the bag is full and you are greed-looting beams.
Do not rebirth until the pet has lived through a full outdoor pack without you panic-healing in town. If that sentence already sounds annoying, roll Mage.
True skills and talents
True skills for Taoist should hit pet survival, poison defence shred, or group heal. A true-skill pet that survives a 1030-level boss is the class. Cosmetic auras are last. Talents that mention the pet or the poison by name beat raw “道术” nodes you cannot read.
Ultimate books from a future VIP12 gift (Steam’s 9-rebirth + 奥义书 line) should sit in 仓库 until you know which button you actually press in auto-combat. Eating the book on a rarely used invis skill is a classic 道士 brick.
Gear
Dragon King set still matters. Wrath on a Taoist who already shreds defence is overkill in a useful way — bosses melt, keeps melt. Titan ice is optional; you are not the freeze tank. Wear whatever keeps the pet alive.
If a weapon says 职业: 通用, you can use it. If it says Warrior-only, warehouse it for a friend. Do not vendor 通用 8-rebirth sticks because the art looks melee.
Party, guild, codes
Taoist is the reason a hall can farm V7 without three paid tanks. Join 万盟大厅. Escorts and secret realms in the Steam guild blurb are pet content. Siege needs you more than it needs a third Mage.
Gift codes (Codes) that give potions keep pets up. Redeem in town (how to redeem) so a full bag does not eat the pack.
When to reroll
Reroll if you hate managing a summon, if you wanted fastest maps, or if you refuse to heal other people on a keep. Stay if the boss window is the screen you stare at. Early Access will change numbers; it will not invent a fourth class that steals pets.
Taoist is the patient class. The 4-hour-10-minute refresh on a named target is your clock. Mage already left. Warrior is AFK on a weaker map. You are still here, and the V7 chest is why.
